If life feels overwhelming — if you’re anxious, struggling in relationships, or facing self-doubt — I provide a calm, supportive space for meaningful change.
We live in a world that pushes quick fixes. Self-help books promise transformation in three steps. Sometimes practical strategies help — but often the most meaningful change comes from somewhere deeper: understanding your emotions, your patterns, and what drives you.
I enjoy working with people who are curious about their inner life. I’m interested in the unconscious, in “being” rather than “doing” — in slowing down enough to actually hear what’s going on inside. The most transformative moments in therapy tend to happen in those shared emotional spaces that are hard to find anywhere else.
Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who look fine from the outside but feel stuck, flat, or caught in the same patterns again and again. Over time, things shift — symptoms ease, relationships improve, and life starts to feel more like your own.
Anxiety & depression · Relationships & intimacy · Grief & loss · High sensitivity / strong feelings · Trauma · Self-esteem · Panic attacks · Sexuality · Neurodiversity · Spirituality & personal meaning · Mid-life & transitions · Impact of boarding school · Men’s issues · Toxic shame · Workplace issues
Therapy offers you concentrated time on yourself — with someone genuinely curious about your story. Over time, clients find they understand themselves better, feel freer in their relationships, and experience life as fuller and more their own.
I'm originally from the UK and have lived in New Zealand for twenty years. Before private practice, I spent two years at Community Alcohol and Drugs Service (CADS), part of Te Whatu Ora, working with people navigating addiction. I also have extensive experience consulting to organisations on questions of human behaviour and culture.
I hold a Master of Psychotherapy with First Class Honours from AUT, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy (AUT). I'm registered with PBANZ and hold ACC Sensitive Claims accreditation.
