Kia Ora! I am an empathetic and evidence informed registered counsellor with over four years of experience supporting diverse clients through therapeutic interventions. I identify as bi-cultural (Pakeha and Fijian Indian).
I have a strong commitment to ethical practice, cultural responsiveness and client empowerment. I also bring over four years of experience navigating the combined demands of counselling in a mental health context. I enjoy gardening, particularly growing cut flowers. I value integrity, collectivism, connectedness, compassion and transparency.
I have 11 years’ experience in the health sector, including disability, physical and mental health support work. I am trained in Solution Focused therapy, and I integrate somatic therapy approaches, supporting clients to work not only cognitively but also through embodied awareness and nervous system regulation.
Some changes I have noticed in clients during and after attending counselling:
- Provisional Member, Registered with New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC)
- Master of Counselling (Distinction, University of Canterbury)
- Bachelor of Health Sciences (Psychology and Health Education, University of Canterbury)
- Individual counselling (50 minutes): $140
