About Tautoko Mai –

Tautoko Mai is a dedicated sexual harm support service committed to empowering individuals affected by sexual harm through a holistic approach to healing, education, and prevention. As a for-purpose, non-profit organisation established in 2010, Tautoko Mai is governed by a skilled and passionate Board of Trustees who guide our mission to create safer communities and foster recovery for those impacted by sexual harm.

Operating across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions, we provide a range of client-centred services designed to meet the immediate and long-term needs of survivors. Our crisis support services offer compassionate and timely assistance to individuals during their most vulnerable moments, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and safe.

In addition to crisis intervention, we facilitate smooth transitions into long-term therapeutic care under the ACC Sensitive Claims Service, enabling survivors to access the tailored support they need to heal and rebuild their lives.

At Tautoko Mai, we are committed to addressing sexual harm not only through direct support but also by driving education and prevention initiatives. These efforts aim to raise awareness, foster understanding, and empower communities to take collective action toward a future free from sexual harm.
