Therapy is about enabling you to re discover your strengths and cope with challenges of life.
I have over 25 years experience helping people explore and better manage challenging situations. I provide a supportive atmosphere that will enable you to develop a new capacity for coping. Sometimes this involves more awareness of what has shaped you in the past. Exploring another perspective of repeated patterns (where the characters change but the plot remains the same) and gaining a sense of power over your choices.
During the past 26 years I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist in a variety of settings including: private practice, Crisis Counselling in response to the Christchurch Earthquake, the Auckland Sexual Health Clinic, Lifeline phone counselling service, facilitated Living Without Violence Support Groups, and as the Group Facilitator with Mothers’ Network in Wellington (providing education and support for new mothers).
