Let’s Talk: Counselling Service

Fully Booked/apologies I’m not taking any new clients at this stage.

I care deeply for equality and the well-being of all people and very much enjoy being alongside people’s discoveries and recoveries.

I have received training in several psychotherapy’s relating to psychological flexibility and trauma recovery in areas such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing / EMDR (UK & Europe institute), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),  Somatic Hypnotherapy and nervous system resetting.

I am co-founder and happy to provide donated EMDR hours for traumatised parents via Piwakawaka: donated EMDR for parents of child loss. emdrforparents@gmail.com – please contact if this applies to your situation.

I work flexibly with peoples spiritual beliefs and also bring in my background in science and psychology, providing a large scope of my therapeutic practice.

Cultural Experience: I have extensive experience in cross-culturally appropriate counselling and research, being a keen focus in my psychological studies. Originally from Wales in the UK, I have traveled widely and have enjoyed the colourful beauty of cultural diversity.

Specialist Area: I work predominantly with women who have experienced trauma, people who identify as a woman, queer, non-binary or people who are transitioning.

Diversity makes for a more beautiful world.

Background and Experience

I have worked extensively with women and those who identify as women for the past 7 years. I have held sole therapist positions for not for profit organisations supporting women and trans women on low income. I also hold full registration with the New Zealand Counsellors Association (NZAC) and am registered with providing ACC sensitive claims therapy, working with people who have experienced sexual assault and trauma.
